This blog is about trying to be the proverbial “perfect 1950s housewife” by living like our mid-century grandmothers, June Cleaver, Donna Reed, Audrey Hepburn, and Grace Kelly in today’s modern world. Together we explore manuals, how-to books, textbooks, cookbooks, and even those scratchy old educational films to help learn what “they” don’t teach to us anymore. This includes cooking, poise, charm, dress, beauty, home and money management, decorating, creativity, entertaining, self-improvement, suburban/small town glamor, and the post-war can do spirit of optimism and self-sufficiency.
