On a beautiful fall day a few weekends ago, The Mister and I set out for more kicks on the original Route 66. The last outing was heading south of town. This time we headed north to the towns of Towanda and Lexington.
I’ll admit right now that every time I see or hear the name Towanda, I think of that parking lot scene with Kathy Bates from Fried Green Tomatoes that has become the battle cry of many middle-aged American women. I’m pretty sure I watched that scene over and over again for a good 30 minutes on my 50th birthday a few years ago. But I digress…
All in all, a very nice way to spend a Saturday morning!
