The fascinating stranger that is your inner self–can refashion you to a new happiness.
The advertisement tells us that too many women suffer from a feeling of inferiority but no woman needs to be disappointed in herself. After all, we have the power to refashion ourselves to a new level of happiness. How? By tapping the power based on the “interrelation” of the Outer Self and Inner Self–the way we look and the way we feel.
Never stop caring about the way we look, the advertisement advises us. After all, we feel more confident when we know we are showing our best self. And, never, ever neglect the daily rites that make us look lovely.
And to help us out, Pond’s Cold Cream provides us with an “Outside-Inside” Face Treatment strategy to give our skin “the wonderful softening cleansing it needs for true beauty.”
At bedtime every night (and, oh, by the way, this works for daytime cleansing, too):
Hot Stimulation: splash your face with hot water
Cream Cleanse: swirl Pond’s Cold Cream all over your face. This light, fluffy cream will soften and sweep dirt, make-up from pore openings. Tissue off well.
Cream Rinse: swirl on a second, soft Pond’s creaming. This rinses off last traces of dirt, leaves skin immaculate. Tissue off.
Cold Stimulation: a tonic cold water splash.
In case we doubt the effectiveness of Pond’s Cold Cream, socialite Mrs. George Jay Gould, Jr., reassures us that “It leaves my skin feeling delightfully fresh and clean…glowing with color.”
As a final reminder, we are told that it isn’t vanity to develop the beauty of our faces. We we look lovely, it simply reinforces that we believe in ourselves and sends a “warm happiness shining through [our faces] to meet the world. The real Inner You is brought closer to others.”
