T-10 Days

So…I found a cute little (and it is little) post-war Cape Cod style house in an historic neighborhood and moved in a couple of weeks ago.  And when I say “moved in,” I mean I have an air mattress, 2 card tables, 2 lawn chairs, and some pots and pans (all borrowed from a coworker and my boss).  And, of course, clothes, sheets, blanket, and towels that could fit into my suitcase and carry-on luggage.

Our "New" House in An Historic Neighborhood

I like to imagine that I look like this woman, lounging around reading my magazines….

Somehow I doubt it, though, because she’s got more furniture than I do.  And she has a footed candy dish.

In 10 days I fly back to Los Angeles to collect my belongings (including The Mister) and make The Big Move to our new home.  I can’t wait!

It’s a lovely home. I love quaint small homes like that. They feel so homey. I wish you the best of luck with your move. Enjoy your new home. :)

  • The perfect house for the retro-modernist! Reminds me of houses I knew in my youth–small but solid. It’s easy to fill those with love.

I gave away a bedroom set in order to develop a very small sewing room which I’m calling my studio. I’ve been thinking of you as I re-organize my fabric stash.

Yay! I’m so glad you’re settling in well and that the Mister will be joining you soon. We’re tiny house people now, too, and I (mostly) love it. Enjoy!

What a cute little house. I sure the Mister and you will be happy there making the house a home.

Congratulations on your new job and your darling house. Is it any bigger than your LA house?
