I discovered the TV show Mad Men last fall when my sister’s BFF was astounded that I’d never seen it. She thought for sure that I would be a Mad Men junkie. I dutifully ordered it on DVD and do enjoy the show. I’m not a junkie but the set designs and the costuming keep me hooked. I sometimes get annoyed with the slow-moving stories, though.
Sara, over at No Pattern Required shared a link to a Mad Men parody called “Milk Men.“ It might even be better than the actual show! Thanks, Sara!

I could say that I remember when the milkman delivered our milk in bottles and when women really did wear dresses on a daily basis, but somehow I’m afraid that’s not what this is about . . .
Hey, Glad you enjoyed the ‘Milk Men’ Mad Men skit! I thought it was hilarious. I did not make it to PCC this last time in June – bummer. Maybe July.???
@Kathy~No, it truly was a parody of the TV show Mad Men and the over the top stories. I don’t recall the milkman delivering to our house but I do remember my grandparents still getting their milk delivered.
@Sara~We’ve been so caught up in work and school stuff that we totally forgot to go to the flea market. Since we hope to move to a quieter neighborhood this summer, it would probably be a good idea NOT to go–too tempting–until after we move!
Ha! Pretty funny – I do like the show, but it was asking for this parody being soooo dramatic. I had milk delivered when I was a kid – in a suburb, and actually, I could get milk delivered now, I live in a phili suburb, but there are some nearby farms that deliver. But Phili suburbs arn’t like the others – today there was a bear sighted in the woods outside my son’s preschool, and we are not in the wilderness!!! Thanks for the comic relief Dr. Julie!!!

Ha – no, not better than the actual show but funny in its own way. One of the milk men even looks something like Pete Campbell. Thanks for the laugh!
